Anyone familiar with Bitterroot Mountain Outfitters in Idaho?
« on: January 25, 2015, 09:36:19 PM »
Looking into a fully guided Elk pack in trip in Unit 10 with Bitterroot Mountain Outfitters for my teenage son and I for rifle season Oct.  Never hunted Idaho, but would like to check it out.  Just looking for a good experience for my son and I.  Any info is greatly appreciated.

I heard that the last couple of years the wolves have not been as big a problem.  The elk and deer numbers were getting better.

I saw there booth at the show.  Very reasonable prices . Not sure if that includes license and tags though.  Looked to be pretty young people having a go at it. They told me 80% success with 99% opportunity.
If its brown knock it down

Were you there at their booth yesterday around noon?  I remember a someone talking to the gal there about taking his son on a hunt.  I was there talking with Dennis the owner about a hunt for our NWTF banquet coming up.  They seems like pretty good people.

Dennis the owner must not have been there when you went by.  He doesn't look very young  :chuckle:.  They lady there is his daughter I believe.

Ya, they're a family business.  Father, daughter and son in law.  I talked with them for quite a while on Sunday.  For an established business, I'd just expected to find some reviews online or something.
