shell survive, there was one up there that had a broken front leg that was completely limp. i asked one of the wildlife guys why they dont put her out, and he said she was like that last year, and came back with a calf this year.... they are alot tougher then you think apparently

WOW thats amazing that that cow was like that last year!!! Maybe she will be fine, I hope so. I think that is the Big 6x6 that I saw there. He has really nice swords 8). Yes there are more and more showing up, give it about another week or two and they should be done. Don't know exactly when they drop. But I have sen them with their antlers in late January. I think Feduary is when they drop em though.

Not sure what to think about that calf with spots?  Why would a cow have a calf that small this time of year?  Early or Late?

Probably one of those cows that get tagged in November when a few bulls are still feeling rutty.  There seems to always be one or two of them.  Normally they are coyote food, but they might make it in the feeding station.  There are a TON of elk not down yet.  There are alot of bulls that have pulled back up high.  Depends on the weather I guess whether or not they will come down.  They mostly shed in March and April.
