Worse than that for me.  I'm about to lose my mind!  We are not familiar with operating in debt.  With the $285,000 machine, and remodeled shop to put it in, we have gone about a half million in the hole on this project and I still don't have parts that I expected to have late last year.  It's very frustrating and scary!!

Plus, I had to cancel my b-day trip back to NWT  >:( >:(    :chuckle: :chuckle:

One of the things this has allowed us to do was work and experiment on the design a little more.  That has allowed us to fine tune materials and techniques leading to a head with the exact same scalloping as the 100 grain.  So it is a bit different than the ones D-Rock tested last year.  We are very excited about the result.  Just need to get them out the door now.

I also got word this last week that our blade die modifications have been completed for the DelMastro HPV blade.  I cut a check for a test run to be completed immediately.  Assuming it tests correctly we will follow with making the same die changes to the DelMastro LPV and VanDyke LPS blade dies.  Between these modifications and the new custom grinding wheels we had made we should soon have a higher quality and sharper blade for all the MadMan, Triple Sec and Titanium Signature ferrules before the 2016 hunting season!

Our goal of bringing back the sharpness and quality of the old Savora blades continues.  I promise not to be satisfied until we achieve this goal.

The struggles of manufacturing :bash:

American supply chains have gotten to be horrible!  Two weeks delivery usually means three months, "To Print" usually means roughly in the ball park, and "Here, I fixed it for you!" has become common place - even though they have no idea what it is you are doing.  There has even been a high occurrence of "I knew they were not coming out to spec, but we ran 5,000 anyway.  If you would like us to run them again we would be happy to.  But first you need to pay us for all the bad parts and the new ones will cost you 125% more."   :bash: :bash:

Uline, the cardboard, plastic bag and warehouse supplies distributor with the DC in Auburn, WA has been an exception to that rule.  Anyone on here that works for them...You guys ROCK!!

The first run of DelMastro and Vandyke 125 ferrules were rejected due to poor finish and shallow blade-pin holes.  That vendor has decided he is no longer interested in working with titanium.  Guess it is too expensive to make parts wrong.  So we have now purchased our own machine to make the titanium ferrules.  Programs are being worked on now.  But it looks like I will not have production ferrules and packaging for either the new 125 or the Deep Six model until April 1st.

I will let people know if they are available sooner than this.
I'd Still like to check out this new machine some time.  Titanium does seem like it wouldn't be that much fun to machine.

Titanium is nice to machine as long as you have proper fire suppression and you don't make mistakes ($$$).  Though it is agonizingly slow if you are used to cutting aluminum.

I would love to get you down to see the machine.  It's the first of it's kind in Washington State.  Crazy how fast it is!

Only difference is the RPS is slightly longer to accommodate the larger weight collar.  And that weight collar is now Stainless Steel instead of titanium.

well I'm going to have to get some more 125's before my Washington state spring bear tag starts.  I flung arrows like a man possessed last season.  Cows and does everywhere and I have a very touchy release finger and zero self control.

I'm betting you can not destroy titanium at a rate half that of MLBowhunting's brother.  I didn't even know is was physically possible destroy titanium at that rate!  I bet they went through almost $500 in broadheads in one season.  MLB gave him aluminum last year, I think. :chuckle:

Sounds like a challenge :chuckle:.  I sure did test them on some stuff deer, elk, stumps, logs broadheads all okay and reusable (with new blades).  Rocks and metal polls not as forgiving.
