Fur Prices
« on: December 28, 2008, 09:47:17 PM »
Has anyone herd what the fur prices are doing this year? Someone tried telling me that a yote was going for over $50 if it was skinned, fleshed and stretched properly this year. I know cats are always good, I've been told they are breaking the $400 mark. Anyone know anything or herd anything?  :dunno:

I've heard $40 for a dog and up to $600 for a good cat. :dunno:

I talked to a guy today who told me they were down, but he said the first auction of the season was coming up and that would  set the prices.   :dunno:

That dog better be made of gold.  It's not going to bring $50 put up.

Depends on the Cat.  your not going to get $400-$600 for every cat you catch.  Price depends on the quality, size, and color.

Well up in the NE corner they all look like lynx, almost a grey color. I think thats what they are looking for.  :chuckle:

It has been a long time since a dog brought $50. Usually between $15-25 for the last 5 years. Maybe I'm selling them to the wrong buyer. I'd like to know if someone is selling then for $50.

They call bobcats lynx cats at the sales.  You're right, they want gray cats.  The cats i've seen this up here this year have been very brown...like the yakima cats.  That's not good for prices.
