F150 tailgate
« on: February 16, 2015, 10:38:27 AM »
Anybody have any insight on where to look for a new tailgate for my 06 f150? I just got an estimate for a new tailgate and its $1300  was hoping I didn't need a new tailgate but my body shop guy said I did.

Gundies auto wrecking in Bellingham... Still wont be cheep but i bet it will be better than $1300....

For 1300 you could put a whole real bed.... Flatbeds do real work anyway.  :twocents:

I will have a flatbed one day but for now, I need a regular bed and my canopy for gear and dogs

If you sell off the rest of yur bed that will pay for all the materials for the flat bed PLUS some very nice dog boxes. :twocents:

I say this from experience because I should have sold off the truck beds from my 3rd gen dodges  when they were new, I could have got BIG bucks now they arnt worth jack.
