I counted 9 dead deer in about a three mile stretch of highway 2 this morning.  The deer I did see alive were already looking thin.

I don't think the yakima area deer and elk are going to be hurt to bad unless we get alot more snow.

I guess its time to buy that coyote call.

well just from what I have seen along the columbia deer seem to be looking just fine . . . today was really warm tonight is really cold so I expect the snow to be alot more frozen an crunchy but the warm day settled in about 6 inches at least I would estimate. sorry to hear about the deer elsewhere though . .. I am going up the methow later today after I sleep a bit I hope they are doing good up there

I thought that feeding deer alfalpha hay was discussed here earlier.....Not a good idea.  Put out pellets instead guys.

I talked with my buddy today and he counted 60+ deer between my place and his that were eating our hay.  It is going to get pretty spendy if this keeps up but to me it is worth it to keep some of them holding on.
