Robinson Canyon was crawling with them in May last year.

 :yeah:

I've always wanted to try eating some. I'd also really like to make a hat band. I'd love to come and kill some if you are reasonably close.
There is something just indescribably painful about being stuck behind a prius on the interstate.

They actually taste like chicken, very good and tender if cooked properly over a camp fire

I've been told the same thing, that they taste similar to chicken but the meat is a bit chewier.  I've never eaten any so I'm not sure if I was getting BS'd or if that is really true.  For those that have honestly eaten rattlesnake, is this true?

Always wanted to at least try some, just never had the opportunity.  Figured since I've tried sheep and calf nuts :yike: I can try a little rattlesnake.

We use to hunt em a lot! I know where a couple dens are! It's not quite warm enuff but getting close they will come out and be laying on rock bluffs! Burlap sack and put em in alive, then freeze em kills em without ruining skin!

Pretty sure I don't have the experience dealing with rattlesnakes to take them alive. Either I'm going to try to shoot them or hit them with a nice long stick.

Usually first of April! We get a warm 70 degree day they will be out! Save your guns because you will be at the bottom of rock faces and can't shoot! Rake and axe work best if you don't want to use some big tongs to get em alive!

I'm in. How far from Spokane are we talking? Not really worried about it, but will have to plan for it.
