Drop thigh knife holster
« on: March 07, 2015, 01:24:01 PM »
Looking for a thigh holster of a 7" fixed blade knife.
Would prefer to buy local (Washington State) if possible.

CRKT makes good knives. But they don't seem to have the sheath holster I'm looking for.
Thanks,

Come to think of it.... I think he does do custom kife work too... you might just want to give him a shout. He is a retired older guy that does it as a hobby business.

Because of the way my Nimrod pack rides I can't have anything on my belt. I was up at Ben Franklins in Monroe and got to thinking about this. I could take some nylon webbing material that would adapt my leather sheath into a thigh holster. It'd be one piece to form a drop loop from the belt then a second piece to secure the tip. "Should" be easy enough.

I'll shoot Scott a message too. Maybe he has a better idea.

You might also try Gunfighters Inc out of wenatchee.  I've also heard it's not too difficult to make your own Kydex stuff. Hit Bmcox86 on here up and he could give you a run down.

Sent them a message. Looked around and evidently this is a not a standard item. Looking likely that this is going to be a one off item. No worries.

I made mine out of leather with a swivel belt loop drop down and a leg strap that wraps about 4" above the knee. its nice for sittn in the car. kinda flops and spins around the leg if not wore tight. handle wore a hole in my jeans side eventually too. granted its a heavy coffin handle gerber bowie knife its ok. could use a second leg strap though

I use one made by Spc Ops brand formy ka-bar. It's made in USA and good quality. Mine is the combat master knife sheath, long.
