My X-mas present

My lovely wife bought this Winchester model 88 from her dad for  me. It was built in '61.

Oops, cant believe I left out suck an important detail. .308, it's my first. Your right a .284 would be nice.

Very sweat,mine is the later basket weave in 308. Love  hunting with it. Have a lupy 2x7x33 on it :tup:
Take a kid hunting or fishing, Pass it on, it's not yours to keep!

wow that sure is a nice gun. Appears to be in great condition. My buddy hunts with that exact gun and it works great for him.

awesome rifle in great shape!  You don't see those much anymore!  Nothing like the feel and sound of an old school lever or pump action rifle!

good looking rifle. I know that there was a recall for firing pin failure on these rifles. Do a google search and you should find some info.

Thanks for the nice comments. If I remember correctly this is the 7th firearm she has bought me.  :)

 I've heard about the firing pin recall, need to look into it.
