.224 Weatherby, anyone know what its worth?

Condition 95%+, made in Germany, 24 inch barrel, looks to be shot very little.

That old thing?  I'll tell you what, I'll take it off your hands for $50...   :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Seriously, I'd guess it's probably worth at least $1,000 maybe considerably more.  There's probably a Weatherby collector somewhere looking for a .224, it's just finding that person is the hard part.  I'd try the national gun sales sites (gun broker, guns America, and so on) and of course list it here!

There's a few in cabelas gun library , $2000-$3500 scoped.

It sold for $1000, a local guy I know had it consigned at the gun store. He has 2 others that he is keeping.

Interesting the 24" barrel. I thought all of the Wby. mag cartridge rifles were built with 26" barrels? Cool gun!
I know the Vanguards are built with Howa actions therefore those mag caliber rifles come in 24".

It's belted, but not really a magnum round.  Dang close to the .22-250.  Cool factor is of magnum proportion though ;)
