Test your night shooting abilities
« on: March 28, 2015, 09:46:09 PM »
Posting this here as this forum gets a bit more traffic and this is firearm related for the most part.
We're putting on a night match at the NCW Gun Club in East Wenatchee.
Silent Knight 2015 Findlay Cup
Here we go, making it official. The 2015 Findlay Cup AKA the Silent Knight precision rifle match will be held on 6-13-15. This is the same date that Alan is holding is monthly match. Both these events will be held at the NCW gun club in East Wenatchee WA.
This years match will be shot entirely at night, and only with suppressed rifles.
We are setting this up so you will not need any specialty gear other than a suppressor. A lit reticle will be helpful but not a must have.
This will be unlike any daytime match you have ever shot.
You will be challenged in ways that cannot be done in a daytime environment.
Gear needed:
Precision rifle with data to 500 yards, ~60 rounds of rifle ammo, flashlight for gear check, Hiking boots, backpack to haul your gear over open terrain.
Ambition, desire, motivation, drive and sense of humor will not be provided, so bring your own.
A zero check range will be available.
A very limited number of Demo cans will be available.
Sign in 5-6PM
Dinner 6:30PM
Safety briefing 7:30PM
Nap time 7:45-9:00pm
Hot range about 9:15pm
Match should be over by 2:30-3:00am 6-14-15
Total number of competitors 30
Cost including shirt, dinner, target rental fees, range fees, insurance: $135.00.
If you are shooting Alan's series match during the day as well as the Silent Knight match, the $135.00 will cover both matches.
Prize table, very minimal at best. If you are looking for a prize other than bragging rights, this isn't the competition for you.
To enter this match, email me. first come first severed.
Also, email Alan if you are shooting in both matches.
Looking forward to seeing you here!
