Multi season deer
« on: April 09, 2015, 10:19:01 PM »
It will be nice to be really selective this year being able to hunt all seasons. I passed a lot of deer in the regular season, waiting for the big one that I seen on my camera. I  finally got him after three days of waiting all day in that freezing cold weather  during late buck. Maybe now i can shoot one with my bow in that early season.

You would be wrong. They only give out 8500 permits.

This is a really dumb question. But I was wondering if someone isn't selected for a certain draw either Multi-season deer or elk, do their points roll over to the next year? I was selected for deer, but not for elk. Yet when I looked at the outcome on the wdfw website it showed that a point was "used" for the deer and a point was also used for the elk category. Thanks for the help, and also for all the tips and ideas all over this forum!

Yes, if you are not selected your points roll over.

"Used" means how many points were used in the drawing. It is silly really, since we can't select how many points to use. It should say "Total" points.

Actually term "points used" does make sense in a way, because you could have the situation where you applied as a group, and in that case the points used would show the average points for your group.

I have been picked for multiseason deer every year since they started it. My buddy that buys his permit every year at the same time I do has never been drawn.
