Buckrun Private Ground Raffle Hunt
« on: September 14, 2007, 06:37:29 PM »
What is the concensus of the people on this board? Who all has entered? Ten hunters seems a like a big jump from last years 2 hunters.

Fish and Game is pressuring David Stevens to open this up a bit.  They have not met some of the requirements that they were supposed to.  There is a rumor around town that Buckrun may not be around too much longer and that Stevens is looking at investing in a ranch outside Vegas.  I don't enter the drawing because I can't stand the a**hole.

It says in the regs that "hunters can generally expect one day hunts". What kind of a joke is that? I'm all out, that's for sure.

i think that means it will take you 1 day to kill a deer.

Exactly. Not much of a hunt to me, more like just killing a nice buck. I want more out of a hunt than that.

ridgerunner had one of those tags...you could ask him. i think they tell you up front it's a meat hunt pretty much.
i think the guy charges big $$ for a big buck hunt and you have limits to what you can shoot, kind of like a management deer only deal.

Right, there are the permits for does which is pretty much a meat hunt. This year thay also had a raffle for 10 permits to allow guys any deer with no access fee charged. Not sure how much $$$ the tickets sold for.
