Did the commission approve mechanical s? I haven't heard. I know they approved crossbows, but haven't heard anything about broadheads.

For everything from how I understood it. All they did was eliminate the text that stated they were illegal. I have 3 schwackers on the way! Excited to try them out.

From everything that I have read and watched for me it came down to rage or schwacker. The rage leave a larger entrance hole but they get less penetration than the schwackers. Schwacker leave a slightly less entrance hole but get better penetration and their blades seems a little tougher with less breaking and bending. Also from what I have read schwacker garenties their blades also. And you get a practice tip with each 3 pack you order. Where rage you have to buy their practice tips separate and both blades at similarly priced.

Of course they have not lost any ! They are promoting them  I am dying to hear the stories this year in Washington ..Especially on a Big Fat Rosie Bull ...When someone actual dentally hits one in the shoulder and it bounces off     Time will tell us how that works out

That was my point.  If I was going to use a mechanical it would be a hybrid with a coc blade leading the way.  Much like the grave digger.

I have some from RadSav ...my son killed a spike last year with them but I am dying to put one threw something big .. The only thing that has my mind going in circles this year is all the muzzy opportunity ...not sure what to do

I would use a radsav head but they are hard to buy at present.  An online option would be great.

I did a little more research.  ( talked to some friends who have tried them on elk in other states and in africa )  Without exception they never use them on elk size animals.  One of them had a Rage not penetrate at all.  Thinking I will stay with my slick-tricks for elk.

Three years ago I hit the shoulder blade of a big fat rosie with a slick trick mag and never found him.  Looked for two days.  60 yards.
