Whatever became of the 50/50 deal? 2006-2012 the tribes got 68% of the Chinook and the commercial and sports guys got 32%. The tribes got 70% of the Coho and the commercial and sports got 30%. Something's wrong with the equation here, I didn't even take bonehead math and I can even figure it out.

Interesting, can you provide your source?
Another reason for closure to area 10 could be area 11 and 13 guys complaining. I know that's part of the reason why they shortened the length of area 9/10 last year to August 14 or whatever it was.
To lighten the conversation, the silver run is supposed to be better than last year. Hope we can keep some wilds still like last year up in area 5,6.

South sounders had to travel north to catch fish. We trailer to Port Townsand every weekend. Im excited to see how or if it improves this year were I live.By Aug 14th, our Chinook fishing has usaully already slowed. We do get to start a month and a half early, but there isnt much going on till Mid July.

Pretty much a bum deal to be shutting down Area 10 for people in the Bremerton area. Are they going to keep the Sinclair Inlet fishery open like they did in the past in the 90's and early 2000's? We might have to start fishing that again.

That's a pure hatchery run in an area that has no impact on any other run. It's a decent fishery with a derby every year. We took 6th 3 years ago and first 2 years ago. We fish dolphin and south worth mostly, but also trailer to Gig Harbor too.

I'm sure the nets will still be out in Sinclair down near Gorst
