So the new regs are wrong? It says they can sell them if people don't purchase them after drawing them.  :dunno:
No, they are not wrong. They pertain to 2016 multi-season permits.

2016 Multi-Season Permits
Hunt Big Game from September 1 - December 31
Applications on Sale:
December 1, 2015 - March 31, 2016

What is the cutoff date for buying them if you were selected?

No, not a train wreck. This is how we get this stuff figured out. Post some incorrect info, and someone will correct you.

I actually have not had time yet to look at the new reg's. I did download it to my computer but that's as far as I got.

From what Bob33 is saying, it sounds to me like this year will be the same as last year. Buy your multi-season tag by the end of August. And unsold tags will not be sold over the counter.

Last week, the WDFW Game and Fish Commission approved a change to the purchase deadline and allocation of unused multi-season permits. What is not certain is when the changes will be implemented. Since the 2014-2015 multi-season process was already established, indications are that the changes will not occur until the 2015-2016 multi-season process is in effect.

If I were drawn for a 2015 multi-season permit, I wouldn't risk waiting until August 31 although all indications are that the purchase deadline this year is prior to September 1.

Just got this in an email from the WDFW. (the deadline to purchase the multi-season tag is July 31)

Quote
WDFW License Dealer**, Online or Over the Phone.

Hunters who have their 2015 General Season Tag must contact WDFW Licensing Department at (360) 902-2464 PRIOR to purchasing the Multi-Season tag online or at a license dealer. WDFW Business hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you have not purchased your big game hunting license you can, go online or to any license dealer and purchase your license and Multi-Season tag.

July 31, 2015 is the last day to buy your Multi-Season Tag!

**WDFW License Dealer - Will need to collect your 2015 general season tag before you can purchase.

Bobcat beat me to it. I was just going to post that I received a letter stating I have until July 31st to purchase my multi season tags. Looks like they are implementing the new rules this year.

Cool maybe I can snag one after people don't buy them.

It's important for the WDFW to notify people especially since the deadline has always been a month later. There will probably still be lots of people who wait until August to buy it and then find out they can't.

With how tough it was to draw this year I bet most everyone who drew buys it up in time.
