Thinking about applying for a buck deer permit never hunted any of the areas would like to apply for areas with accessible public land for scouting and hunting?. Is the Palouse and blue mountains foothills West are both that limited seems like a lot of area?

A lot of the best whitetail hunting will be on private land, but there's enough public that you can still have a good hunt. There's also a fair amount of private land open to hunting as well. You'll just need to scout ahead of time.

Chelan County is almost all public land; Forest Service and WDFW.
GMU 245, 246, 247, 250, 251 are all good areas.

The Palouse tag is almost all private. Lots of feel free to hunt, hunt by permission, and hunt by reservation.
It can be done, but the properties get pounded, crowded. If you can get out there and secure access that would help. It's still a fun hunt. Gets frustrating though looking at bucks on the non- hunt able private land.
Don't know the blue mountain foot hills tag.
