My bushnell has been pretty much destroyed by bears. The lock loop is snapped off, claw marks all over...it's great;). Cool photos

No additional scent needed, they can not leave things alone

Yep, bears like messing with cameras. I had a bear pull one of my cameras down and try to get it off the tree. He was not successful but he did succeed in breaking the hinges. I tossed that camera in the garbage. It still worked but it wouldn't have been waterproof any longer. Luckily it was only a $40 Tasco. I also had a bear try to destroy an external battery. It broke the hinges on the plastic case and got the battery out. Must not have liked the taste though, as there were only a few tooth marks in it.

Had that happen to one of my Bushnells a few years ago. Sent it in to see if they could repair it. Put "bear ate my cam" on the symptom line. They called and said that sadly no, it could not. They gave me $100 of a new cam of my choice and a free bear box! I'm a loyal Bushnell cam guy since.

I have bite marks in 3 cameras so far. One was pulled off and played with taking different pictures of ground and sky and fur over the course of 2 days about an hour each day. They all still work just fine luckily!

The bushnell box has worked fine for me as protection from the bears. If you want, you can add some extra deterrent.

Les also said that they are attracted to Lithium Batteries. Don't know how true that is.

Had mine banged around by a few nosy elk, but no bear has hit it yet

I had 2 cameras messed with a couple of weeks ago. One bear came back a few times and broke a little bit of the plastic over the lights. I moved the camera up a couple of feet last week and the bear came by and sat in front of the camera a couple of times but didn't disturb it. It still works!

I left a couple of pics of me and the dog just to mark the time that I set it up.

Nice video.  Lots of game on that trail - especially bears. That one bear sure does like the smell of the cam.  Makes me nervous for your equipment.

 I wonder if they'll still be using that trail come 01 September......

Try spraying your cams with some sore of sent block. Seems to help a little. I forgot on my last set and the elk had my cam turned a different direction.
