furry thing

I have one of those wiggler things, that wiggles around on a stick while calling yotes. I was wondering how far away to place this thing, 50 yards, 75? I should probably keep it within sight right?

I usually place mine about 50 yds away. I think it depends on what weapon you're using and the terrain. I hunt with a rifle in some pretty open areas. If you're using a weapon with not as much range, I would think you would place it closer in the area of 25 yds.

If you can guess where the dog will be coming from, position the decoy to where the dog will be paying attention to it without looking directly at you.
