Shore fishing from Liberty, Clear and West Medical has always been productive for me.

West Medical Lake, Medical Lake (selective rules…READ THE REGS!!!), Fish Lake by Cheney, Sprague Lake and Rock Lake all offer shore fishing. Other lakes like Williams Lake and Clear Lake ( to name only a small few)  offer fishing from resort docks for a small fee (usually $5.00).

I'm retired and boat less; so I only shore fish. If you need further info.; feel free to PM me.

Spokane river and also Badger lake as well use to fish badger all the time when I loved in Cheney. Always did pretty good there, even caught a 5lber next to the boat launch but that's been 8 years or so.

Sadly Badger Lake is mere shadow of its former self. One new resident refuses to allow WDFW to rehab the lake to remove the illegal introduction of bass, sunfish and bullheads. Along with the tench, Badger is well on its way to being the next Silver Lake (Spokane). Badger Lake was my favorite, but three trips so far this year…One fish.

I forgot to mention Long Lake with a strong early season stocking of rainbows and when the water comes back up, Lake Roosevelt has some of the best eating rainbows in the region.

Fish lake has been really productive for me the last 2 summers. It's deep enough right off of the shore that you can still get a bite when it is hot out. It seems to be a slow bite starting out this year though.

Roosevelt has been very good this spring.  Fish are averaging about 1 1/2 to 2 lbs and we've been just shore fishing.  Great fighters and very red flesh, great eating.  Green sparkle power bait about 24" off the bottom seems to be most effective, but just plain worms right on the bottom has also been ok. We are up north around the Hunters area, so don't know how it's been further south.

Well that sucks. Loved going there, use to get my limit almost every time.

They put a bunch of good sized steelhead in Sprague lake. Rock lake has nice rainbow and Browns. Lots of people fish those lakes from shore.

Rock lake scares me a bit.

Sprague lake used to be REALLY good walleye fishing, until they ruined it.  Cow lake, right up the road.  Bluegill the size of dinner plates, no joke.  That was 18 years ago though.  Not sure how it is now

I've spent some time at clear and it can be really hit or miss. Unless they rehabbed it recently, there were a lot of garbage fish in there.

My favorite has been West medical but the banks are always packed. Also the bite slows down as it heats up.

I would recommend checking WDFW. They post the annual stocking reports. I've found that the best way to select my lakes in the late season when the bite slows down.
