laser cast bullets

Looking to start reloading for .44. Anyone use these? Would they be good for a  starter/plinker round? Price looks decent

Laser cast are great bullets but expensive. I've been shooting Missouri cast bullets in my 44 and 357 and been real happy with them.

I've been loading them in my .45 Colt.  They're nice bullets, I'd recommend them.

If you haven't slugged the bore on your .44 yet you might do that first before ordering.  That way you can get the perfect diameter to match.  You may want to go a thousandth or two bigger for example which is no problem with cast bullets.

I shoot a lot of the 180 grain .431 in both .44 special and magnum at special velocities.  Shoot great.  Slugging the barrel is good advice but if you don't care to do that going a little over at .431 is a safe bet.

My .45 colt Blackhawk shoots noticeably better with .454 than .452  Both work ok though.  I'm not sure how much variety there is in .44 cal bores, with .45 there's everything from .451 to .454.  It's easy to do with a fishing sinker and some dowel rod and if you're going to buy a bunch of cast bullets might as well get the best size.  With jacketed you don't have much choice.
