Anyone know of a good reputable and reasonable priced charter for kings and halibut out of Ketchikan AK?

I just went out with Brian R with Anglers-Adventures, he was awesome, great guy and a huntin fool.  Talked hunting and fishing the whole time and caught fish.

Tell him that Tim from Northwest travel Magazine sent you. Maybe he'll cut ya a good deal?

A bit off topic but make sure that you have a plan on what to do with your fish after your charter trip.  A lot of people end up giving them to the locals when they discover the cost of shipping the fish home.

Thanks krapmit I'll check out Anglers Adventures some more he seems like a good guy.

And CP that is a good point.. I think the going rate for proccessing(flash frozen and vacumed sealed) is around 2 bucks a lb.  And up to one 50 lb. box can be shipped as luggage :dunno:

We checked 400 lbs of fish last year from Ketchikan and each box made it to Wenatchee with us. Will be back there again in a couple of months but not for guided halibut just salmon. We will fish with Skip and Louise from Knudson Cove

Just try to guess how much per pound to send a couple bushels of apples and 40 pounds of cherries to Ketchikan. :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bdid: :bdid: :bdid: :sry: :sry: :sry: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bdid: :bdid: :bdid:

Call Rod Fredrickson at Blackdog Sportfishing. His prices include flash freezing and processing the fish as well. 4256813781 tell him Michael referred you.

Chinook shores is also a great place to check out, they have their own deep freezer, vacuum packers, herring and nice places to stay.  You can go guided or go on your own, Jeff will tell you where to go to catch fish.  We went on our own and caught our limit every day of silvers that ranged 10 to 18 pounds, I also caught a ling trolling.  The boats you get are very nice, covered northriver's. I think he charges around 2,500 for a week of lodging with the boat included, the bait girl and guy will fillet your fish when you get back if you want or do it yourself.  They pick you up at the airport and take you back.  Each lodge has a bbq, is clean and you have a private dock.  Classy guy and runs a great place, I hope to go back next year with my dad.  Their number is 907-225-6700 and he has a website, just type in the name.  Tell them Jerry Cella sent ya if you call, thanks.  I get NO kick backs, I've only gone once.   I just appreciate a good business now days!
