Oak Creek 1/4/09
« on: January 05, 2009, 12:59:48 PM »
Driving back from Tri-city's visiting realitives stopped by the Feeding Station.
Weather over white and on the west side sucked, took us 4hrs from Oak Creek to Tacoma.

It was pretty dark with the cloud cover and snow started as we were just leaving.
Kids got a real kick out of seeing them up close.

Fantastic photography as usual. I really enjoy that photo of the two elk on their hind legs playing footsies.

Thanks for the comments guy's.
Haven't been around much lately, everyone has been sick and I have been out trying my hand at bird shooting, like Eagles on the Skagit.
Hope you all have a Great New Year!  :hello:

I've been thinking about taking my boat up there and shooting for a day, are they very active right now?

Not really, big detour around concrete to get up river, and the power is out from Concrete all the way up.
I had to get gas at marblelount via genarator that was powering the Chevron pumps. The pumps were so slow, 2 of the 3 pumps were putting out 1 gallon every 6 minutes! I got lucky and it only took 13min for 6 gallons on the one I got.
The river is still pretty big, so the fishing for the eagles is bad.
I think we drove through 6 slides to get there where they just punched holes through one lane, but they were working on them on friday.
Good luck.
