They will start dropping any day. The 6th is a little soon (not too uncommon) but a little early.

Yup, it is time. Already seen pasture elk with calves following the group. And lawn deer with fawns. Actually not good.
Wild elk should be peaking about second week in June. Deer in 2 or 3 weeks.

Should actually be good for fawn and calf survival with a nice long growing period before their first winter.

One of the cows I watch from the yard a few times a week looks like she had her calf a few days ago.

Lots of fatties waddling around, try to give them some space, they do not jump and flee so well at this stage

Yeah I pulled the cam, I will put in back about mid august and see if I can get fawn pics. I also got a little "knot head" on the same trail. I think he is going to be a spike

Blacktail carry a fetus for an average 203 days. If the peak of the rut is the first week of November, the majority of the fawns dropped should see light of day around the first day of June.
Interesting that you've all seen so many early fawns recently. It certainly explains why the bucks start moving around so much in mid-October. There is surely a few receptive does during those early days.
Hopefully you'll get a couple of fawn shots once it starts browsing with mom.

We have a doe hanging around on our property and she looks ready to pop. We've had twins most years and even triplets a couple years ago. They are fun to watch.

Not a great picture but its my first bear on trail cam, this camera is located 100 yrds from a wild cherry tree and the cherries have just become ripe so hopefully there will be more.
