There's no muzzleloader season for elk around Pe Ell, unless you're talking about Lincoln?  (501)

Much of that unit requires a Weyerhaeuser access permit (which are sold out). There is some state land but not many elk. I wouldn't waste my time.

What you'll find is that all the decent elk units that are open for late muzzleloader, are bull only.

There is a lot of public land down there that hold elk, and you can find them if you spend time pre season looking for them and learn their patterns. If you have your muzzy deer tag you can expect to fill that first and then spend time looking for elk. Just make it a point to spend time in the Lincoln unit next year scouting and getting to know that area.

Whatever........
