636 Quality
« on: June 13, 2015, 11:06:13 PM »
Drew the 636 quality tag for archery deer, I've spent plenty of time in the unit and know both the Green Diamond and FS ground pretty well. My concern/question is, does anyone know if GD plans on expanding the permit fee area? Last year at the permit rollover date they expanded the area, which considering the date kinda sucks. I've heard rumor around town that GD might expand the permit area north of Matlock rd, which is where I'm intending to hunt.

I too drew this tag this year, I drew it back in 2012 but did not harvest anything. Mostly learned a lot of new area. But I'm curious to know if there will be access permits since that would be a real bummer especially since it's a ways away from home. But I'm hoping 3rd times a charm and maybe I could get it done this year

GD is not the only land in 636. I would actually focus on Manke ground. They leave the gates closed but you can walk in. If you want to hunt GD then I would go off the 800 and 830.
