There's nothing better than blue grouse hunting, I just love the country they live in.

Remember everyone, the limit this year is only three of one kind, and then you can get one more of another species.

And that is one of the stupidest things I ever heard. Once again, the Department of NO fish and WATCHABLE wildlife starts backing away from a grand opportunity for the upland bird hunter.
Well, hunt low on the creeks in eastern Washington and bust a ruff and then head up higher in the afternoon and bet on the blues.

I'm gonna shoot my three blues in the morning and the ruffed grouse later.   :tup:

By the way, I prefer the 3 of one kind, 1 of the other limit, instead of 3 grouse period. Which was the other option.

You were right. There is a dusky and a sooty. One is a western Washington blue grouse the other is eastern.
