Fish lake is very close by.  It's worth the drive and the fishing is good for trout and perch.  Good luck

Never fished Lake Wenatchee, but fish lake lots of planter trout that make it a hoot to fish.  There are also a few big fish if you are lucky enough to catch one.

Good Luck

Lake Wenatchee is LOADED with crawdad's!

Doing a low country boil while camping is the best.

There are fish in there, you may pick up an occasional trout and more than likely a few pikeminnow, but the fishing will be better at neighboring fish lake.

I did not know that. My FIL lives on the West side. Next time I go over I'll bring a trap

As noted, the fishing is really at Fish Lake this time of year.  Not much for Lake Wenatchee unless there's a sockeye fishery in late July.  Fish Lake is very close by, and you can rent an aluminum boat or pontoon at the Cove Resort.  Also pretty good fishing right on the dock there.  We fished it Sunday.  There's a die off of the perch going on right now, apparently due to the increase in lake temp - stinks to see all the dead perch, but certainly makes for some good eagle watching.  Saw nine eagles circling at one end of the lake alone.

I have the best luck at the East end where the river runs into the lake.

Are you talking about the east end by the park where the Wenatchee flows out? We threw a couple pots in there last year, but got nothing. Maybe we need to revisit that plan. There's beer and endless admiration (or admiration and endless beer) for anyone that schools me on Lake Wenatchee crayfish!
