Charlia Lake hike
« on: June 19, 2015, 05:04:23 PM »
Going on a one night backpacking and fishing trip to Charlia lake on the olympic peninsula for some fishing and camping. Should be fun and will do a write up and hopefully pictures as well. Its going to be my first backcountry trip and i feel as though i got all my gear in check. You guys have any tips and tricks that you have learned in the backcountry? And yes i do have some TP! :chuckle:

Well had a crazy hike. Consisted of a lot of doubting, cussing and cool scenery. Hiked up the supposed trail head that was questionable at first. Hiked 4 miles in and came to the realization we really weren't on a trail anymore and decided it was best to cut our losses and head back and try a different time and trail. Didn't get pictures because the dang camera battery died on the way over ( no idea why) but I guess the 8 mile hike wasn't too bad for getting in shape for the 20 mile hike were going to end up doing!
