Fun at Banks Lake

We spent 5 days at Banks last weekend and had a blast. We caught well over 100 walleye between the 3 of us and got a few keepers along the way. 23" was our biggest eye. A few small moth were caught and released also. The walleye and a bunch of good sized perch were caught while trollinfg smile blades in chrome or green with regular hook set ups or slow death hooks. Crawlers or gulp worms both caught fish. 1.0-1.4 mph in 12-28 feet was the ticket.

One of my favorite lakes, and it's been over five years since I've been over there.  Why throw back the smallies though?  They taste good to me.

Our biggest smallmouth was caught while trolling the smile blades for walleye. Others were caught on DC-13 cranks and senko's.

Can't wait for 7/23.  Guided fishing trip I got in a live auction.  Nice fish BTW.  I would keep the smallies for sure good eating but nothing beats walleye

Yup Banks.  Skillet is the good one to pick his brain.  I got a map he marked all up for me too but I will share for sure.
