Makes me mad that my money is supporting wolf recovery. :(

I love my plate (see my avitar)

I was much happier being an uniformed citizen. :dunno:

We also champion rare and recovering wildlife in our region, from GRAY WOLVES, wolverines, lynx and grizzly bears, to marbled murrelets,MOUNTAIN CARIBOU and pacific fishers. Our wildlife advocacy, annual Wild Links Conference and Citizen Wildlife Monitoring programs are at the core of our work for a wilder Northwest.

This was on their website,  the wolves they are trying to save are killing off the highly endangered mountain caribou they are also SAYING they're  protecting.

Once again, Communist Northwest wins their battle with their partner, not the hunters partner of Washington, WDFW. What a load of B.S. !!
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

After going to a WDFW commission meeting and seeing how this money was used I went and traded my plates in.

Yes these are the people who are also trying to shove grizzly reintroduction down our throats. Thanks for taking notice guys.

If this state really wanted to raise some revenue they should issue a "wolf Lover"  wildlife license plate.  Just think of how many liberal wolf huggers in Seattle would buy one!

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

CNW supports the wolf cull in the BC Selkirks, much to the chagrin of many "wolf lover" types:

http://www.conservationnw.org/news/updates/bc-announces-wolf-cull-to-protect-endangered-south-selkirks-mountain-caribou/

"In this instance, we believe the criteria we set forth for lending support to wolf control actions in the South Selkirks have been met. Removing wolves may not ultimately lead to mountain caribou recovery. We recognize and accept that risk because at this moment there are no other choices. But wolves reproduce and disperse well – they will return to the area. If they are extirpated from southeastern BC, northeast Washington and northwestern Idaho, woodland caribou will not. Clearly there is more work to be done to protect caribou habitat, particularly in the valley bottom corridors where caribou are most vulnerable to predation and habitat loss. But that doesn't preclude the current need to protect the South Selkirks caribou herd now. "
