Early Season water sources
« on: July 09, 2015, 05:51:06 AM »
I am looking at a few places that I have scouted/hunted in the past, for the high hunt, and WATER keeps coming to mind...

With a very dry summer, and many sources drying up, will you be hunting around lakes, or does it make that big of a difference?

A big buck will travel along ways for water, I wouldn't change your plans too much. I'm worried more about water for myself
The mountains are calling and I must go

Kind of what I figured...
Thanks Zwickey
Now I'm stressing out about carrying 20lb of water with me! Haha

Lets just theorize here....

Think they're more likely to go UP to a high mountain lake for water,  or DOWN to, say, a basin stream?

I've seen big bucks travel down for water, then right back up to the top.   I guess it just depends on where the water is. ;)
