Fished there today & picked up two pinks for the smoker.  Fishing was a little slower, since it was dark and choppy.  Played a nice coho that got loose right before the boat.  Lost a few other pinks.  Not too many other boats netting fish, but they were getting a few.  Just a slow day, I guess.

Why is dark and choppy bad

Because we only caught 2 fish.  :chuckle:

Nice job pilebuck.  We had to leave early so we miss that tide change.  Sounds like things changed a lot.  We fished the flood, and didn't see very many fish boated.  Finally hooked a couple at 65'.

I think the humpies will stick around for a bit. Lots still coming in. If they get a little thin the silves will be right on their heels.

Come on Sunday morning!

I have the guide and everything, but I still get paranoid about what type of fish I am keeping  :dunno:

What are the easiest ways to identify a silver?

Page 98 of the fishing regs has colored pics of the different species. Once you know what you are fishing for....silvers or humpies etc....you will be able to know what to look for. Keep the regs handy, use them as a reference, and just use good judgement. Not that hard at all really.

heading out Saturday morning, about an hour after low tide. Shore fishing. I've got some pink and red buzz bombs. Are hoochie skirts important enough to warrant another drive to sportsman's warehouse?
