shad fishing
« on: July 20, 2015, 02:41:31 PM »
Hi, I couldn't help but notice the 77000 plus shad run above Lower Granite dam. Does anyone fish for them? If so, what do you use? I'm hoping someone will share a bit of knowledge to help me get up to speed on catching a few. Thanks in advance.    Tight lines, fishingfool. :hello:

I've had the same thought when I'm looking at the salmon counts on the Columbia. I see huge amounts of shad and wonder if people target them often and if so how? I'll tag along on this one....

simply a shad dart. just drift fish them. You can look it up on google, there is a ton of info on it. I'll try to post some photos tomorrow of my set ups. This year was fairly slow. but normally you can catch about 30+ fish in about 6 hours.
