If you ever get over to the east side of the state there are some great opportunities for coyotes south of Spokane. Lots of wide-open wheat fields make for long shots but there are plenty of coyotes as well.  My experience is that many of the farmers will let you access their land to hunt coyotes if you contact them personally.  Good Luck and welcome to the site!

That's what I'm hoping to do but I would hate to drive all the way over and get denied. Was hoping to meet someone from there and hitch up with them. But I'll give it a shot!

A big part of coyote hunting is driving to a lot of sites and getting denied. Denied in the sense that you don't get any yotes. Do your homework, read all the posts about coyote hunting on this site, then go do some recon work. Coyote hunting is a real challenge, lots of fun and not as easy as some beginners hope it will be. Good Luck.

I'm just looking for approved hunting land where I can legally hunt. I'm from north Carolina so trying to find land where I can hunt is new to me

Right where you are, Kitsap County, you will find lots of DNR land to hunt on.

What most guys do, me included, is find public in a certain area first!!  That way you at least have land to hunt, then once you get to know the area and what it holds, venture out and start driving down driveways and talking with folks.  I realize you are not from around here, but finding public land is universal.  Call the Fish and Game or DNR, get online and order maps, google "Washington State Public land access".  These are all very easy resources that can be done from inside your house with NO gas money used!!!  When I first started dog hunting, a buddy and I drove all the way almost to Idaho because I found a chunk of land that look decent for dog hunting (and I live in Cowlitz County).  Spent all weekend over there and didn't even see a yote until on our way home, and he was standing next to the freeway in Vancouver..  I even took a trip to SE Oregon on a whim and even ventured to Nevada on that trip just to learn!!!  Point is, it can be easier than you thought or harder than you thought to learn yote hunting in Washington.  If you just ask for info, it will take forever to get what you want!!!  Start some research and waste some gas, it will more than help I promise
