Nice fish!
Why didn't you keep the skate? I've heard they are awesome eating! Just cut little round steaks out of the fillets and fry the like scallops.

When were you there? I just was over there too, July 26-30. We mostly caught salmon, also took a few limits of rockfish and a 22 lb ling. Nice cool weather with a high temp of 68.

Almost forgot we got a rockfish with a radio tag, it earned us our choice of rewards, we have a hat coming. Many years ago we got hats for tagged lings, they had a colored wire through the back. This one was scanned like they do for salmon. After we took the fillets off they took the carcass. They mightt not have tagged many fish because the checker was very excited and had not found any before ours.
