Define Raghorn

What do you consider a raghorn bull?  Fairly new to elk hunting and hear the term a lot and was wondering what the consensus opinion is.

Raghorn to me is something bigger than a spike but smaller than a 5 or 6 point but the amount of points are subjective. I have seen "raghorn" 6's but also seen nice heavy mature 5's. For me, its the combo between mature and number of points that differentiates between raghorn and "shooter"

Immature branch bull
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

Small branched antlered bull
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...

Any bull who has recently been fighting with a clothes line and has remnants still on its antlers.

The one pictured below is trying to take its clothing right form the source.

I've never seen a difference between those two.

Considering I normally either chase spikes in western wa or branched bulls out of state, shooters to me are spikes or mature bulls  :chuckle:

Two year old bull
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
