Game bird farms/hunting preserves in Western Washington
« on: August 10, 2015, 11:45:16 AM »
Can anyone recommend a hunting preserve or hunt club in western Washington? (nothing north of Seattle and nothing east of the mountains) I've seen that there were/are some near Rochester??? But can't find any websites for them.

The only one I know if near Rochester is the Lincoln Creek Hunting Club, but I don't even know if they are still open.  I didn't locate a current website and their Facebook page hasn't had an update since 2012.  Several release sites down there, but not aware of private clubs.

I know ol' Corky Smith died a while back. Not sure what happened to the club after that.

The game bird farm in Rochester/Grand Mound is a pheasant release site. Its called Scatter Creek.
There are 2 entrances. Off 183rd and also off Case Road.
Another pheasant release site is in Skookumchuck, a few miles out of Tenino.
Good Luck :)

Until about a year or so ago, I drove past the Lincoln club many a Saturday, and it never looked like there was anything going on. As for the Gryphon, Carol and Jim sold their place and moved to Arizona.
