Is this wolf scat?

I was out scouting around Tiger Mountain with a buddy and found this. Wolf? Biggest coyote ever? No prints to be found, .45ACP next to it for size.

Cougar? A lot of hair in it. It will usually smell like ammonia if it's a cat but that scat might be to old to really tell. I've never seen wolf scat so I'm not in a position to say but Tiger Mt is a possibility anymore with the way they're spreading. Let's hope they get a little closer to the public trails in Seattle so the idiots there can see what they got started!

Could you imagine if a rabid wolf attacked a hiker on tiger mountain. I think the grizzly bear plan would get shut down pretty quick especially after someone was killed by a grizzly in Yellowstone the other day.

Right...because there are no pro wolf advocates on the Eastside. They only live in Western Washington. That's an ignorant statement to make. SMH

Back in the late 90's there was quite the large pack of feral dogs up there.  Back when we could bait bear I tried baiting up there.   Nothing but wild dogs hitting baits.  We packed it up and moved out of the area because of them.

Bone chunks present is an indication of lions is what i've always read.  If it's just lots of hair, dog, wolf, coyote.  That looks about the size of a yote imo.

Every morning when I go to work I see a coyote working a field. The dog often has his head down and is standing still, hunting mice and moles. That would explain the mole foot in that photo.

I have 50 lbs dogs that crap that big at times. My bet is it's a coyote.

Grizzlies have been killing people for years in Yellowstone and elsewhere. It hasn't stopped anyone yet.

Side note, as usual, bears have a higher human body count than wolves this year. When that statistically changes, in North America, you might see a change in attitude. Until then...
