In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

I broke down and bought a DP this year to take the family on a couple of outings to the parks so i got the quiz... Nothing mind blowing in it IMO.

Only the legislature can authorize hunting in State Parks...

I do the opposite, now.  I had to get the DP for DNR land, so on my way by I usually stop at the state park to use the facilities.

And last session there were a few proposals that looked at this via Brian Blake.  A strong survey result asking for hunting or a pilot program could move the needle.

Yep, Ike Kinswa on Mayfield Lake.  Had a nice day boating and fishing, a couple of tasty trout were had for dinner. Better to go out of IK than the county park on the other side of the lake with all the jet skis.

Had to get a Discover Pass earlier this year when we visited the North Head lighthouse down by Ilwaco. Great Grandpa was a keeper there, so was looking at a bit of family history.

I know that. I am just saying that allowing hunting in parks will be a longer process then say putting more picnic tables at Sun Lakes.

Age has taught me to pick my battles. With all the other issues that hunters could tackle politically, this just isn't a good one. Anti-hunters would love to open this one up for "debate". They would post pictures of dead bambi's laying in a campground and then some hunter in full camo gutting bambi out in front of the kids.
Just not worth the PR battle.

Just got back from potholes st park, really nice.  The spots are big, grassy and good trees to help w the wind. Plenty of shade as well.

visited Belfair State Park over weekend, totally over crowded, campsites within a few steps of each other. I don't recommend this park if you want any peace n quiet or time to yourself.. was there to just visit a couple camping.. was over it inside of first hour~~
