Sockeye should be able to spawn
« on: August 23, 2015, 10:19:12 AM »
Here is the water temp chart for the Okanogan river at Mallot, Looks like the sockeye should be able to move up now if they are still alive.

Sure hope a few make it. Good chance of steady rain this weekend. Good signs, and I am sure there are a few still alive. Praying they make it happen.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

The study I was just reading says the water temp of 21.1 c Migration is delayed.
If the fish have started migration the water should not exceed 18.0c (64.4 F)
Temperatures of 22-24c totally eliminates salmonids from an area.
Bad times for sure. Im hoping for rain, Big time.
The river I live on (Skykomish) is flowing at 325 CFS. :yike:
The wallace is almost dry. :dunno:
Real bad.
