The Wolverine fire started near the head of Lake Chelan but has made its way into the upper Entiat Valley. The burn, as of 8/23, has burned from the Entiat glacier moraine down valley to the 2 miles from the Cottonwood trailhead. The Ranger District expects the fire to continue burning down valley prompting all trails in the District to be closed.
