Dog Hunting ~ Prairie Dogs that is
I just got back from dog hunting in North Dakota. I went out my my Uncle down to a Ranch and Holy cows they were everywhere. I brought along my Ruger model 77, 22 mag and my tack driver Cooper single shot in Ruger 204 caliber. We shot close to 400 of those prairie rats in five hours. There were so many of them that I used my 22 mag most of the time.
I had a old Savage 22 mag years ago and I was never impressed with it. I always took the 22 mag for a 100-125 yard shooter. Sold that gun years ago and purchase a new Ruger 22 mag. I was shooting those dogs out to 250 yards away with my 22 mag. I'm impressed with this caliber now. I shot a couple of doubles and I also shot four of those dumb rats standing together in a straight line with one shot with my tack driver Cooper
If you guys never did any prairie dog hunting you have got to give it a try. It is a kick in the pants.

Definetly fun. I have hunted them in New Mexico, next to a grouse they are the dumbest critter on the face of the earth.

It takes 10 seconds and it’s free. To easy to make an excuse not to make your voice heard!!!!!!
