Cabelas deli slicers
« on: August 29, 2015, 07:14:10 PM »
In the market for one and there seems to be mixed reviews on the cabela ones. Is there a better one out there in the same price range? I know you get what you pay for but its only a once or twice a month usage. Would like it to cut cheese if possible once in awhile but mostly just meats. Serrated vs non? Safety and stability are also into consideration. Thanks for any input.

I bought the Cabala's 12" earlier this year.
I don't really have any complaints. I do with they would make a cover for the blade so it doesn't sling meat all over, you have to pay attention when slicing meat at the end of the cut, it likes to start pulling the meat into the blade, but I think most are like that. I make sure my meat is almost froze and then it cuts great.
I would buy it again. There is a nice slice in the for sale posts on the board, it looks every bit as good or better than the one I got.

I don't have a Cabelas, I have a Globe.  Found one used on Craig's List. I got it for about the same price as Cabelas 12" commercial unit.  It is a real beast.  One thing I can recommend, is go with the 12" version.  You will not regret it
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice
