No stand.. Supposedly sliding down a hill and lost balance...
I've seen several of these types of awful looking injuries including a couple where carbon arrows appeared to have shattered. It makes me wonder about my own arrows and their integrity after being struck in tight groups. I generally pick out a different dot on my target when shooting out to 30 yards. When I go to 40 I'm shooting to the center and sometimes arrows hit each other. Short of obviously visible cracks, are these arrows at a significant risk for blowing up on me?Arrow and draw length is good. No danger of over drawing past the rest. I never want a picture of an exploded carbon arrow buried in my hand

He must have slipped and jammed it into his ankle.
