Deer Area 1035 Colville River Corridor help
« on: September 09, 2015, 10:10:13 AM »
Just checking if any members have property in this area that I could access for my Second Deer permit.  I have hunted the Huckleberry Unit for over 40 years but never that close to the river and Hwy 395 as most if not all of it is private property.  Also I was born in Colville and still have family and friends in the area.  Kind of hard to knock on doors since I live 4 hours away.  I have archery and muzzleloader equipment to use to replace modern firearm in case there is an issue with using high power rifles due to proximity of form animals and structures.  Any assistance would be appreciated and I am more than willing to travel north prior to my planned Late Buck hunt from Nov. 8th to Nov. 15th to meet property owners.  Thanks in advance. :dunno:

Just south of the Arden saw mill is the Sackman family property.  I believe they allow hunting by permission. That property is in your unit.

Call the WDFW Spokane office and ask if any landowners want does shot, I did this last year when I drew North Spokane tag.

WDFW was a good resource when I drew a 2nd deer tag year before last.  They gave me the contact information for landowners who had been issued depradation tags for their property....folks who wanted to have does removed from their property.  I think its worth a call....
