Ran into a herd last week in a great spot to hunt.  Close to the road with easy access.  It was a small herd with at least one bull.  After we bumped him, he came walking back to us... would have been a sweet archery shot.  Probably no big bulls, but a great opportunity for someone that would be happy with any elk.

I'll hook the first guy up that PMs me.  You can buy me a cup of coffee and I'll hand deliver a map with some ideas on how to hunt it.

Hope everybody has a great archery season out there, in spite of all the fire closure issues!!!

Great offer. That's what it's all about right there.

You have any places around CO Springs?  :chuckle:

I've found elk, but they're hanging out on a private ranch. Is a great area, but until the ranch starts thinning the herd when their clients show up, the elk just stay there. Drop a few and they head for the mountains again.

Maybe if they start chasing cows a little harder the next couple weeks you'll see some more movement off the private... Good Luck!
