best spot to buy land

I'm thinking about purchasing some land on the east side sometime and am wondering where an all around good spot is. I know everyone has there secret little spots with fantastic genes and stuff but I'm not asking for that. Just for a spot (county, region, etc.) that is likely to have some deer, maybe also elk and birds. So any tips would be nice.

Gmu 117, pend oreille county. It's a great place to hunt because its just about all private land ( no orange army) get yourself a chunk up there and you can hunt just about anything Washington has to offer. I have a small bit and I have elk, bear, moose, whitetail, ducks, geese, grouse, and mountain lion. Oh and so many damn turkeys they drive me nuts!

No help for the east side, anyplace on the westside could be a benefit. cause then you can charge people a bunch of money for access just like everyone else does over here

Yup.  I'd go GMU's 113, 117 or 121 - Pend Oreille and Stevens counties.  Plenty of game and not so crowded.

Naw, that was a little rant I had for a moment. Misplaced, shouldn't have done that to the OP's thread and I apologize. That comment was not targeted towards private persons buying their own land. Just misplaced frustrations.

Yup.  I'd go GMU's 113, 117 or 121 - Pend Oreille and Stevens counties.  Plenty of game and not so crowded.

Is 20 acres enough for one hunter in one of those GMU's?

I don't know any of them really well, but I'd say it depends what land. You'll definitley get animals there, but you won't be able to control we other or not they go off your land and get shot by a neighbor. If you have a bit more land, you can set up plots and cover to try and keep them there. That's my  but you should probably talk to one of the more experienced guys.

Best spot to by land is my 40 acres. It's backs up to DNR on the west & north boundaries. Property is between Republic & Curlew.

Check out the piece Buckcanyon lodge has been showing on here off and on. Dont know if it's still available, but it's in unit 121 and is a tremendous piece for what you're looking for.
