Youth Doe Hunt
« on: September 24, 2015, 10:41:25 AM »
Looking to get my daughter (9 years old) her first deer this year.  I was looking into the whitetail doe hunts on the east side.  I would like to set her up on a private land hunt where she would have a very high chance of success.  She shoots well and has been hunting with me for years, I know trying to find her a blacktail buck on this side might try her patience a bit.  Does anyone have any connections or recommendations?  I am not expecting a free hunt, but would prefer semi guided or unguided hunt on private land.

My tag is filled this year so we are flexible any time in modern or late season thanks for the help!

I don't haven an area to hunt for you.  :dunno: But did you put her for the youth special permits this spring so she can build points up? Because now it takes two or three years to get a permit vice every year when my oldest started hunting.

Hate to tag along but I've got 3 youngsters we got through hunter's ed this summer looking for their first deer.  I'd love to have the same opportunity to put them on a setup that didn't have a ton of pressure and would be happy to help out with fencing, bring some tasty treats, etc.... ages are 10, 12 and 14.

My private setup was logged last year and the owner didn't do anything to repair the ground and 5 cameras have picked up exactly 4 deer in a 3 month soak.
