Mill creek watershed scouting question

I'm planning on heading over to the watershed tomorrow to check out a few things in preparation for my bull hunt later this month. Mainly check out table rock and try to find a camping spot and mark a few things on my GPS. My question is what are the roads like heading in there? Do I need to bring my 4wd truck or would my wife's Subaru work? Reason I ask is because if I can get away with it since I'm not hauling anything I'd rather use the Subaru for gas mileage and comfort (don't judge me  ).

Check FS road closures due to the Grizzly Bear Complex Fire before you head over.

I know that the Rd to griffin I'd open but closed  at skyline drive. Not sure about the cutoff to the watershed.

Take a fwd.  I have been in there and the roads are rough

Take your truck period. Hardest hauls of meat I've ever done came out of that beautiful hell-hole.  Pick your partner wisely.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna bring the truck and now I'm thinking of waiting until next Friday to head over just to give it another week in case of closures. I checked the website and it looks like its open but not 100% sure.

Just remember that premium camping spots on the Table rock side go pretty quickly, i would recommend option A,B,C depending on the size your looking for. All depends on how early you plan on getting there. Good luck, your gonna need every bit of it.

FS Rd 64 from the junction with 46 to its junction with 65 has been graded and brushed out so it can serve as a contingency fireline if the Grizzly Complex fire spreads to the west. You can drive any car you want on it now. Just avoid the temptation to drive too fast, now that it has been fixed up. If you've driven this road before the work was done you won't believe the difference. (I worked on Table Rock LO until Sept 21 so have first hand experience with the road in its previous and present condition). Good luck on your hunt!

  The way the road is now I would take my wife's Subaru on it, except for the last 400 yards to the lookout, due to the rocks. But she wouldn't let me take it anyway... ...but, then, the Wrangler is perfect for the Blues.

What he said, the car would make it fine. The one thing to think about it the mass amount of dust and dirt getting into the wife's car. If your smart and carful the car will be fine, clearance will be the big issue going over the water bars.
